Terms of Service
Terms governing EduLens websites, products, and mobile apps
Last updated: June 20261. Scope and Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the EduLens marketing website at edulens.net and EduLens products, including EduLens K-5 web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and related services operated by Zobel Solutions LLC("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing the website, submitting a contact form, accepting an invitation, creating an account, or using an EduLens product, you agree to these Terms. If you use EduLens on behalf of a school, district, or organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
2. Accounts and Authorized Users
Product access requires an authorized account or invitation. Schools and districts are responsible for determining which staff, parents, guardians, administrators, and other authorized users may access their EduLens environment.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
- You may not share credentials with unauthorized users or access accounts that are not assigned to you.
- Schools are responsible for removing access when users are no longer authorized.
- Parents and guardians may access only records made available for their own children or students for whom they are authorized.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use EduLens only for lawful school, educational, operational, safety, administrative, or evaluation purposes. You agree not to:
- Upload malicious code, attempt to bypass security controls, or interfere with service operation.
- Access, use, disclose, export, or modify data you are not authorized to access.
- Use messaging, announcements, forms, tips, or alerts for spam, harassment, threats, or unlawful content.
- Trigger emergency alerts, 911 dispatch workflows, or safety notifications except for authorized emergencies, approved drills, or permitted tests.
- Use automated scraping, bulk extraction, or bots without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the service except where applicable law expressly allows.
4. Data, Privacy, and Student Records
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. For school-controlled records, EduLens acts at the direction of the school or district under applicable agreements and law.
School-Controlled Data
Schools retain control of school records and student data submitted to EduLens. We do not sell student data or use student data for third-party advertising. Export, return, deletion, retention, and breach-notice obligations for school-controlled data are governed by the applicable school agreement, data privacy agreement, and law.
Contact Form Data
Website contact form submissions are used to respond to product inquiries, demo requests, and related communications. By submitting information through the contact form, you represent that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to submit it.
5. Product Features
Mobile Applications
EduLens mobile apps are provided to support authorized product workflows such as messaging, dismissal, attendance, alerts, health-office workflows, visitor workflows, notifications, and account management. App availability, features, and platform support may vary by school configuration, subscription, device, and release.
Emergency and Safety Features
Emergency alerts, SMS, email, voice calls, direct dispatch integrations, drill logging, anonymous tips, and related safety tools are supplementary operational tools. Schools must maintain independent emergency procedures and should not rely solely on EduLens for emergency response. Delivery of any push notification, SMS, email, call, or dispatch-related message is not guaranteed.
AI-Assisted Features
AI-assisted features may generate drafts, summaries, or recommendations. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a given context and must be reviewed by authorized school personnel before use for decisions, records, communications, or interventions.
6. Intellectual Property
EduLens websites, software, design, text, graphics, logos, images, screenshots, documentation, and related materials are owned by Zobel Solutions LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from EduLens materials without our written permission, except for ordinary authorized use of the service.
You retain rights to data and content you or your organization submit to EduLens. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, secure, support, and provide the service.
7. Accuracy, Availability, and Changes
We make reasonable efforts to keep website and product information accurate, but product features, pricing, availability, eligibility, and integrations may change. EduLens may contain references to features that are optional, school-configured, subscription-dependent, in testing, or planned for future release.
8. Third-Party Services
EduLens may integrate with or link to third-party services such as identity providers, push notification providers, email/SMS providers, emergency dispatch services, storage providers, student information systems, and other school-authorized services. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are outside our control.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduLens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that every notification or integration will be delivered.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zobel Solutions LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of EduLens. Any liability limits or remedies in a written school agreement control where applicable.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to EduLens if required by law, requested by an authorized school administrator, required by an applicable agreement, or reasonably necessary to protect users, students, schools, systems, data, or service integrity. Data return, export, deletion, and retention after termination are handled according to the applicable school agreement, data privacy agreement, and law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a written agreement with a school or district provides otherwise.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. For school-controlled product use, additional notice may be provided as required by applicable agreements or law.
