The Story Behind EduLens
I'm James, the founder of Zobel Solutions and the creator of EduLens. I built this platform because I lived the problem — and because I had the technical background to solve it.
Before starting Zobel Solutions, I spent years as a software engineer, building complex systems and learning what it takes to ship reliable, secure software. That experience gave me the foundation to build EduLens the right way — not as a quick prototype, but as a production-grade platform designed for the security and compliance standards that schools require.
The idea came from my own experience as a parent in the Greece, New York school system. I watched my family juggle four different apps just to manage dismissal, get messages from teachers, and stay informed about school safety. Teachers were drowning in disconnected tools. Front office staff were managing everything with clipboards and walkie-talkies. And none of it talked to each other.
I started asking a simple question: why does every school need five separate vendors to do what one well-built platform could handle? Nobody had a good answer. So I built one.
EduLens started as a prototype I presented to a local school administration. From there, I designed and built the entire platform myself — architected from day one for multi-tenant isolation, FERPA and COPPA compliance, and the kind of data security that school districts demand.
Today, EduLens serves two markets. EduLens K-5 brings dismissal management, emergency safety alerts, parent-teacher messaging, visitor management, and classroom tools into a single platform for elementary schools. EduLens for Higher Education gives universities AI-powered learning companions, faculty insight dashboards, and institutional AI governance — with a completed HECVAT security assessment and LTI 1.3 integration for existing LMS platforms. Middle and high school support is on the way.
Every feature in EduLens exists because a real educator, parent, or administrator told me they needed it. And every line of code was written with one priority above all others: keeping students safe and their data protected.
